68 years ago John Lennon was born in Liverpool, England. He is probably best known as a founding member of the Beatles, and along with Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr, he helped create the rock n 'roll music as we know it today.
I love the music of John and the Beatles, but what I admire him most was his fierce opposition to the Vietnam War and the tireless promotion of peace by him and his wife, Yoko. Organized two "in bed" is peace, attended rallies, spoke on television, and performed concerts as a form of protest. John Nixon won a spot on the list of enemies, because it was complicated Dick was concerned that Lennon would support McGovern cost him the election in 1972.
John received a green card on Independence Day 1976, our bicentennial, and will become eligible for U.S. citizenship in 1981. There is no doubt that he would support this year if it had not been assassinated in 1980.
